WAKE FOREST — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an armed robber who stole cash from a convenience store early Wednesday morning.

The Wake Forest Police Department said it is investigating a robbery at Criuzers Convenience Store, 12500 Capital Boulevard, at 12:30 a.m.

The robber entered the store, showed a handgun and demanded money. An employee handed over cash, and the robber fled on foot in an unknown direction.

No one was injured. Police said they do not release the amount of money stolen.

The suspect is a black man who is about 5-foot-8-inches with a medium build, police said. He appears to have short hair and was wearing a black shirt, dark jeans and black shoes with white trim near the soles. He was also wearing a black hat with a white emblem on its front and writing on the right side of the brim.
