NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CASE NO. TA-20-02 CONSIDERATION OF A TEXT AMENDMENT TO THE WAKE FOREST UNIFIED
The public will take notice that the Wake Forest Planning Board and the Board of Commissioners will hold a joint public hearing on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. in the Board Chambers, on the 2nd floor at Town Hall, located at 301 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest, NC 27587. The purpose of the hearing is to consider amending the Wake Forest Unified Development Ordinance, specifically, Sections 2.3.3, 2.5.1.B.4, and 3.7.5 to modify the zoning districts in which schools are permitted. Copies of the proposed amendment are on file at the Wake Forest Planning Department located at 301 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest, NC 27587 and available for public review during business hours. The public and interested parties should take notice that substantial changes might be made in the advertised proposal reflecting objections, debate, and discussion at the hearing. The Planning Board will consider this request at its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 and may make a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners, at its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 7 p.m., may consider this request and the recommendation of the Planning Board and may, in its discretion, choose to modify it. The Wake Forest Joint Public Hearing and Planning Board meeting scheduled on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 will be conducted virtually using Zoom, an online virtual meeting tool. The meeting will be open to the public. Individuals attending will be required to social distance and sign in for contact tracing purposes.
