A look behind Grace Ministries

By now you’re probably wondering, “Who is Grace Ministries USA and why does its devotionals keep showing up in the newspaper?” Simply put, Grace Ministries is here to serve you, the community and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Grace Ministries USA is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian ministry in the Wake Forest, north Raleigh and Franklin County area. It started a few years ago under Pastor Bert Woodburn and a board of directors consisting of 10 members who are heavily involved with their respective churches.

Grace Ministries USA is made up of many men and women from multiple churches in the area. They seek to lead others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and serve our communities to demonstrate and deepen faith and trust in God. The ministry equips and supports evangelism and discipleship. Our daily mission is conducted through one-on-one and small group interactions.

The ministry includes various spiritual activities, including discipleship through small groups and Bible studies, life coaching and biblical counseling, business chaplain services, pre-marital counseling, prayer teams and special evangelical and mission trip events.

Most of the Bible studies are held anywhere from early in the morning, to lunchtime to evenings almost every single day of the week. They meet anywhere from north Raleigh to the Franklin County area.

Most notably, Grace Ministries embarked on their annual mission trip to Naco, Sonora, Mexico this past summer. The missionaries helped take care of an orphanage about half a mile across the Arizona border, while also baptizing four orphans at the end of their trip.

Grace Ministries holds local events, such as target shooting with guns, prayer walks and getting together to write devotionals.

These devotionals are written by multiple men and women of our organization. They are edited at the Wake Forest Coffee Shop almost every Friday morning. We prepare these devotionals to you to provide some weekly encouragement. You may also receive these weekly devotionals through your personal email by subscribing to our service on our website at You can find out more information about what we do and how we can serve you in our local community.
