‘Christmas with the Celts’ coming to Louisburg College

LOUISBURG — “Christmas with the Celts” is an uplifting and spirited holiday musical celebration starring international music group “The Celts” and a cast of dancers. The show will take the Gardner Concert Stage at Louisburg College on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Launched as a live concert attraction after several successful seasons as a PBS-TV Special, this performance features classic songs such as “Little Drummer Boy,” “Count Your Blessings,” “White Christmas,” ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” and “I’ll be Home For Christmas.”

The concert will feature foot stomping step dancers, pipes, whistles, fiddles and a selection of both modern and indigenous instruments.

The concert will be in the Frances Boyette Dickson Auditorium at Louisburg College’s Seby B. Jones Performing Arts Center. For tickets, call the Louisburg College Box Office at 919-497-3300 or 866-773-6354. Tickets may also be purchased the day of show if still available.

The box office, in the main lobby of the JPAC, is open Monday through Friday from 1-5 p.m., as well as 90 minutes before show time. Seats are not reserved. Tickets are also available online at http://www.jpacarts.com. Doors open at 6:45 pm.

Louisburg College offers a special discount for groups of 20 or more. Tickets for children 12 and under are $5. Complimentary holiday refreshments will be served at intermission.
