Information session on fostering cats or dogs

Paws For Life NC Animal Rescue, in partnership with the Petco Foundation, will host an information session on fostering cats or dogs Saturday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Wake Forest Petco store, 12638 Capital Blvd.

Wendell Farmers Market

At its Monday meeting, the Wendell Town Board of Commissioners approved the reoccurring temporary street closure for Campen and Main Streets for use by the 2019 Wendell Farmers Market. The farmers market will open on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. through Nov. 23.

Wake Forest Food Truck Rodeo

The next Wake Forest Food Truck Rodeo will take place Sunday from noon-4 p.m. at 405 S. Brooks St. in downtown Wake Forest. The four-hour event will feature food trucks and arts and craft vendors. There will also be cornhole games, live music and a kids zone with a bouncy house, face painting, bubbles and more. Brooks Street Bowl will operate a beer tent and offer discounts on bowling games during the Rodeo. DJ Gregory Wiggs will perform live music.

Heroes Music & Dessert Social

The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St., is inviting military veterans and their families to a free “Heroes Music & Dessert Social” Sunday from 4-6 p.m. Geared to area military veterans and their families, the occasion will include a variety of ice cream and desserts and feature a live performance by Capital Transit. Rolesville Fourth of July

The Rolesville Fourth of July celebration event will be held Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. at 121 Redford Place Drive. Bring a chair or blanket. There will be food, live music, a kids carnival, fireworks and more. The Tyson Brothers Band and The Will McBride Group will perform. A fireworks show will take place at dark.
