Credit cards stolen from Wake Forest vehicles

WAKE FOREST — A man was charged this week in connection to the theft of credit cards from several vehicles in Wake Forest, authorities said.

According to a press release, Jeremie Serge Fwala of Wake Forest is accused of breaking into the vehicles and then used the credit cards to make purchases at several retail stores in Wake Forest and Raleigh.

The break-ins happened between Dec. 28 and Jan. 12 on Melcombe Way, River Park Drive and Kingston Manor Drive, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office said.

Fwala turned himself in Wednesday and was charged with felony breaking and entering motor vehicles, financial transaction card theft, obtaining property by false pretense and attempted obtaining property by false pretenses.

He is facing 27 counts in all.
