WAKE FOREST — Assistant to the Town Manager Candace Davis has successfully completed the Leading for Results program at the UNC School of Government as a Local Government Federal Credit Union Fellow.

Davis was among 26 people from across North Carolina identified as a critical leader in their local government and was selected in a competitive process from among 150 program applicants.

Leading for Results is an intensive program with an emphasis on organizational leadership. Participants are introduced to models of leadership as well as management and leadership tools and strategies. As part of the course, LGFCU Fellows gain insight into their individual leadership styles and strengths and practice ways to increase their effectiveness within their respective organizations.

Davis joined the town of Wake Forest in 2008. Prior to coming to work for the town as a senior transportation planner, she served as a transportation planner for the town of Apex.

Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from South Carolina State University in 2000 and a master’s degree in Transportation from Morgan State University in 2002.

A certified public manager, she is a member of the International City/County Management Association, American Society for Public Administration and the North Carolina City & County Management Association.
