Franklinton Lions seeking youth football players

FRANKLINTON — The Franklinton Lions of the East Wake Football League is looking for players ages 6-12 years old to compete for their team. Practices are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

The Lions will compete against youth football programs all over the local area, including Durham, Sanford, Clayton, Zebulon, Wendell, Louisburg, Oak Grove, Granville, Knightdale, Bunn, Fuquay-Varina and Cleveland.

The season starts Sept. 7. The three divisions are Mini-Mites, ages 6-8, Mighty Mites, ages 9-10 and Pee Wee, 11-12 years old. The weight limit for Mini-Mites is 105 pounds, the Mighty Mites is 125 pounds and the Pee Wee is 150 pounds.
