WAKE FOREST — After a successful 2018 campaign, Heritage High School and Middle School are running the Heritage Chick-fil-A 5K this year.
The Chick-fil-A 5k is a charity race hosted by the Heritage Chick-fil-A Leader Academy. Each year, students from Heritage High and Middle work with a new organization, offering support to community organizations that help the Wake County community.
The race will be at Heritage High School from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on May 18.
All of the race fees and fundraiser funds will go to the Hope House of Wake Forest. Hope House started in September 2011 to offer hope and assistance to children in the area. They create programs to help the community, such as Christmas giveaways and book bag giveaways.
The cost for the 5K Run is $25 and the Kids Fun Run is $15. Prices increase after April 17.
