Heritage FFA students win regional competitions

WENDELL — Members of the Heritage High School chapter of FFA placed in federation and regional competitions last month.

The competitions took place March 18 at East Wake High School, according to Keonte’ J. Edwards, a teacher advisor to the chapter.

The chapter is part of the Wake County federation and the East Central region.

These students placed in the following competition categories:

Job Interviewing

Anna Corinne Krause: federation, first place; regionals, second place.

Parliamentary Procedure

Megan Amend, Madison Austin, Alana Brown, Aleigha Brown, Gracee Samia, Ava Harry and Clara Beasey: federation, first place; regionals, fourth place.

Creed speaking

Skylar McDonald: federation, third place; regionals, sixth place.

Dairy judging

Junior division dairy judging team, Layton Robison, Kylie McGlade and Mohamad Salah: federation, first place; state, 13th place.


Lily O’Brien, Grant Goodman, Jack Cutler and Arianna Jones: regionals, second place.

Introduction to horticulture

Charles Brooks, Nathan Cowley, Virginia Beasey and Jacob Grimes: regionals, fourth place.


Elliott Ward and Lauren Stevens: regionals, ninth place.
