ROUNDUP: Here's what's open and closed on MLK Day

Most government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Here are the services impacted:

Franklin County

The Solid Waste Transfer Station will be open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday. Convenience centers will be open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday.

Triangle North Executive Airport will be open Monday. All other offices will be closed Monday. The library will be closed Saturday-Monday.


Town Hall offices will be closed Monday.


Town offices will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday. There will be no impact to solid waste collection.

Wake County

Parks, solid waste convenience centers, South Wake Landfill and East Wake Transfer will remain open on normal schedules. Libraries, the animal center and other county officers are closed Monday.

Wake Forest

Town Hall and other administrative offices will be closed Monday. Police services and garbage and recycling collection schedules will not be affected. However, bus service and yard waste collection will be suspended.

Wake Forest Bus Service, including the Wake Forest-Raleigh Express and the Wake Forest Loop, will not be provided Monday but will resume normal schedules Tuesday.

Yard waste will not be collected Monday. Crews will follow the normal collection schedule beginning with Monday’s route on Tuesday. Collection of the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday routes will occur throughout the remainder of the week until all routes have been completed.
