YOUNGSVILLE — Linda Grace Swartz Honeycutt, 61, of the Colony Ridge community, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, at Wake Med Hospital, Raleigh, with family by her side.
Linda was born July 27, 1959, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late William “Bill” Delbert Swartz and Ethel Marie Lang. She was also preceded in death by one infant son, Rea Steven Honeycutt.
After several years of an accounting and administrative career, Linda was able to retire and enjoy focusing on raising her daughters and loving on her grandchildren. Linda loved being outdoors, working with her flowers, spending time at the beach, camping and fishing. She also enjoyed writing poetry and painting.
Surviving are two daughters, Kristina McDonald and husband, John, and Kelsey Honeycutt and partner, Quintin Walters, all of Wake Forest; four grandchildren, Jimmy, Erin and Kira McDonald and Emery Honeycutt; four sisters, Cathy Swartz of Concord, Sylvia Roberts and husband, David, of Louisburg, Myra Efaw and husband, Brian, of Fairmont, West Virginia, and Melissa Swartz and companion, Joni, of Benson; two brothers, William “David” Swartz of Poquoson, Virginia, and Deven Swartz of Winston Salem; her lifelong best friend, Susan Beyelia of Nevada; and several nieces, nephews and cousins that will love and miss “our” Linda.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date to honor Linda’s final wishes.
