YOUNGSVILLE — Youngsville High School will have their reunion for all graduating classes Saturday at Hill Ridge Farms from 4-9 p.m.

There will be a picnic supper at 5 p.m. and a live band performing at 6 p.m. called South Bound ‘N’ Down. The reunion is hosted by the Youngsville Woman’s Club for the Museum of History.

Local sports legends Al DePorter and Larry Lindsey will be in attendance at the event.
DePorter graduated from Wake Forest College in 1954 and was a member of the men’s basketball teams that won the Southern Conference championship in 1953 before it was changed to the Atlantic Coastal Conference in the fall of the same year.

Lindsey was a high school boys basketball coach who won eight state championships, two at Youngsville and six at Wake Forest-Rolesville, in three different classifications (1A-2A-3A). Those squads also captured or shared about 20 conference titles and carved a 609-156 record over the span of 28 seasons.

Tickets are $25 per person. Payment goes to the YWC and mailed to P.O. Box 362, Youngsville. Hill Ridge Farms is located at 703 Tarboro Road, Youngsville.
