Man shot in Wendell, deputies detain suspect

WENDELL — The Wake County Sheriff’s Office said it detained a suspect in connection to a shooting Saturday that left one person injured.

Wake County deputies respond to a call near the 5400 block of Riley Hill Road in Wendell around 10 a.m.

Joshua Seth Fauls-Harden, 35, had been shot, deputies said. He was taken to WakeMed Hospital for treatment. His condition wasn’t immediately available.

Justin Perry, 35, was identified as a suspect. Deputies said Perry was detained on scene. It wasn’t clear if he is facing charges.

The sheriff’s office was still investigating the incident, it said.
