WAKE FOREST — Wake Forest Police are investigating a fatal shooting along North Taylor Street, a spokesman with the town of Wake Forest said early Thursday morning.
According to the spokesman, officers responded to a report of shots fired at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday along the 300 block of North Taylor Street. Upon their arrival, officers located a 22-year-old male victim who had been shot. The individual died as a result of his injuries upon arrival at WakeMed, the spokesman said.
The victim in the shooting has been identified as Myles Anthony Wilson of Wake Forest.
The investigation into the case continues, but police do not believe the shooting was a random act.
