The Wilson Christian girls basketball team suffered a tight 14-12 loss at the hands of Greenville Christian on Tuesday afternoon.

Skyler Davis led the Lady Chargers with eight points.

WCA visits Rocky Mount Academy on Thursday.

Cyclones fall to Eagles

GREENVILLE — Jake Farmer pitched in 18 points in a losing effort as the Community Christian boys basketball team fell to Greenville The Oakwood School 33-31 on Tuesday afternoon.

Cale Pittman added seven points in the Cyclones’ (1-9) loss.

Community Christian will host Kerr Vance Academy at Peace Church on Friday, Jan. 24.

Tigers clip Winterville for triumph No. 10

The host Wilson Prep boys basketball  team notched its 10th win against a mere loss by a 37-30 margin against Winterville Charter on Tuesday evening.

The Tigers owned a 20-11 halftime cushion.

Top Wilson Prep scorers were Colton Ellington with nine points, Isaiah Buck with eight and Ayden Moran with seven.

Lady Bucks hand Elm City first loss

Behind the 21 points of TiAsia Taylor, the Forest Hills girls basketball team sent Elm City tumbling from an undefeated record with a 42-21 victory Monday.

Jamaria Freeman added seven points for Forest Hills (6-1), which moved into a tie for the Tricounties Athletic Conference South Division lead with the Lady Vikings.

For Elm City, Connie Pleasants added eight points.

Forest Hills is at Toisnot on Thursday.
