Miracle League preparing for home run derby

YOUNGSVILLE — The Miracle League of Franklin County will play their final game of the season May 18 at Long Mill Elementary School in Youngsville. The season finale will feature a home run derby and trophy presentations.

The Miracle League of Franklin County is a baseball league for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. The Long Mill Elementary School baseball field has a rubberized turf surface to accommodate people with special needs and is wheelchair accessible.

Kids have been playing this season every Saturday at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. They allow players from Franklin, Vance, Warren and Granville County to participate.
