WAKE FOREST – The Wake Forest Human Relations Council is inviting residents to the inaugural Multicultural Day set for Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St.
Multicultural Day will celebrate Wake Forest’s rich multicultural heritage and bring residents together for a taste of the various cultures represented throughout Wake Forest.
The event will feature a variety of multicultural foods available in the community. Several local restaurants, food vendors, caterers and grocery stores will showcase their culturally diverse foods and desserts by providing free samples.
The following restaurants and grocery stores are scheduled to participate: Domino’s,
East Coast Wings, El Tapatio, Harris Teeter (Harris Crossing, Heritage Station and John Rex Boulevard locations), Hayashi Japanese, La Foresta Italian Café, Las Margarita’s, Mizu, Pizza Amore, San Jose, Sergio’s Pizza, Showmars, Thai Café, and The Lost Cajun.
Guests will also have the opportunity to visit with vendors, view artwork from local students depicting their family’s various countries of origin, and enjoy multicultural entertainment featuring area residents from around the globe.
