WAKE FOREST — A Zebulon woman was arrested this week in connection to a theft and credit card fraud case at Brookdale Senior Living in Wake Forest.

Artisha Lee Burwell, 35, of 605 Worth Hinton Road, Zebulon, was charged Tuesday with one felony count of obtaining property by false pretense, one felony count of financial card theft and one count of misdemeanor larceny.

Wake Forest Police officials say Burwell entered Brookdale March 2 and wandered the halls until locating an open door to an employee’s office. While rummaging through the desk, she discovered a credit card, which was later used at a local grocery store.

Burwell turned herself in Tuesday without incident after Wake Forest Police released security footage of the suspect and asked for the public’s help in finding her.
