WAKE FOREST — The Wake Forest Parks and Recreation Department will accept team registrations for adult co-rec kickball and flag football through Saturday.

Co-rec kickball league games will be played on weeknights and Sundays from mid-September through late October, while flag football league games will be played on Sunday afternoons from mid-September through early November.

The entry fee for both leagues is $225 per team and each is limited to participants ages 18 and older. Online registration is available at

Anyone interested in participating who does not have a team can sign up as a free agent, then be assigned to a team in need of players. To register as a free agent, complete the online registration form at

Wake Forest’s parks and rec department will also accept youth basketball league applications for boys and girls ages 5-17 from Sept. 1-30.

Beginning Sunday, online registration will be available at Anyone without computer access is invited to register by using the computer kiosks in the lobby of Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St.

The fee is $60 for residents who live within the Wake Forest corporate limits and $100 for anyone who lives outside the town’s corporate limits.

New participants will be required to provide a birth certificate. A participant’s eligibility is determined by his or her age on Dec. 31, 2019.

Team practices will begin in late October and games will be played from December through February.
