KNIGHTDALE — Saltgrass Steak House has announced its first Knightdale location opened its doors Tuesday at 6601 Knightdale Blvd. at the Shoppes at Midway Plantation.
“We are thrilled and honored to join the Knightdale community,” said Ken Pierce, divisional vice president, Saltgrass Steak House. “The restaurant is a natural fit for Knightdale residents, who appreciate authenticity, high quality steaks, and made from scratch recipes at family-friendly prices.”
Saltgrass is an award-winning, authentic steakhouse famous for its flavorful steaks. The menu features many of the old favorites combined with Saltgrass’ array of fresh seafood, chicken, burgers, sandwiches, salads and more such as barbecue baby back ribs, sweet bourbon marinated bone-in pork chop, and chicken fried steak. In addition, all soups and salad dressings are made in-house every day.
The Saltgrass name dates back to the mid-1800s, when cattle were driven to the Texas Gulf Coast to graze on the rich coastal salt grass. They followed the legendary Saltgrass Trail to market and in 1952, this historic trail ride was revived to publicize the opening of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The ride has become an annual celebration and the first Saltgrass Steak House still stands along this historic trail.
The new Saltgrass Steak House will be located at 6601 Knightdale Blvd., Knightdale and is open at 11 a.m., seven days a week. For more information, call 919-217-7070, visit www.saltgrass.com or follow the restaurant on Facebook at www.facebook.com/saltgrass.
