Wake Forest softball shut out by Millbrook

WAKE FOREST — Wake Forest’s softball team could not get a run on the board as it fell to Millbrook 4-0 at home Tuesday.

The Cougars only registered one hit and it was from Alyssa Henault. Seven different batters struck out at the plate.

Millbrook scored two runs in the top of the first inning. The Wildcats added another in the fifth and one more in the sixth.

Ramsey Schlafer pitched all seven innings for Wake Forest. The senior tossed eight strikeouts and allowed five hits.

With the loss, Wake Forest dropped to 1-2 overall. The Cougars have lost two in a row after losing to Garner 13-9 on March 6.

Wake Forest will play Cleveland at home Friday, March 13, at 4 p.m.
