Wake Forest to host HighSchoolOT Jamboree

WAKE FOREST — The HighSchoolOT Jamboree will be held at Wake Forest High School’s Trentini Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 17. The event will feature 11 high schools and the three-peat 4AA state champions, the Wake Forest Cougars, in a six- game football scrimmage.

Football teams and fans from Apex Friendship, Cardinal Gibbons, Clayton, Enloe, Holly Springs, Middle Creek, Millbrook, New Hanover, Pine Forest, South View, Southern Durham and Wake Forest will converge on Trentini Stadium.

Admission for the HighSchoolOT Jamboree is $7. Free parking is available on the grounds of Wake Forest High School and the adjacent Southeastern Baptist Seminary.

Gates open at 10 a.m. Two junior varsity games will start the day’s festivities at 10:30 a.m. School of Rock Wake Forest will start off on the soundstage followed by Bump Syndicate playing from 2:30-5 p.m. Opening ceremonies will take place at noon with a three-person parachute landing on the field.

Wake Forest will kick things off with their scrimmage against South View at 1 p.m. After that, Enloe will take on Clayton at 2:20 p.m. Next, Apex Friendship will battle Southern Durham at 3:40 p.m. Following that matchup will be Millbrook against New Hanover at 5:20 p.m. Afterward will be Holly Springs facing Pine Forest at 6:40 p.m.. Finally, Middle Creek will go up against Cardinal Gibbons for the final game of the day at 8 p.m.

In addition to the showcase of athletic games, Wake Forest High School will also have a family-friendly midway with vendors, concessions and other event sponsors.

The North Carolina National Guard will have a obstacle course out for the kids.
