CARY — A Wendell man was among two suspects charged Thursday in connection to a violent argument at a Cary movie theater last month.

Saquawn Shakur Bolds, 26, was charged with three counts of misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, records show. A second suspect, 26-year-old Jamese Kulanie Thompson of Garner, was also arrested.

The Cary Police Department named the suspects and issued warrants for their arrest Wednesday, according to a press release. Jail records say the pair was arrested by a Wake County deputy in Raleigh.

Around 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 8, police responded to an argument at a CineBistro theater in Cary, where two couples had gotten into an argument which had escalated in the theater’s lobby, a release said.

Bolds allegedly took out a knife and swung it at the man he was fighting and at theater employees who tried to break up the fight. Four people had minor injuries and one employee was taken to a hospital for a minor knife wound, police said.

Thompson was charged with misdemeanor simple assault for her role in the fight, police said.
